I2C Protocol --89c51 as a slave,possible?

I want to do a project on single master-multi slave communication using I2C protocol. Master is gonna be a 89c51.
I would like to know whether I can use 89c51 as one of the slave.
Plz hlp.

Yes, you can do that!

Another alternative is multi-master-multi slave I2C communication.

Refer to The I2C-Bus Specification Version 2.1 January 2000 for more information
