send data in body

i want to design a gadget that will download data from a wearable device through the body to a finger ..
I haven't yet done any search on the subject .Like what is the maximum speed and how much voltage i need to use for my signals ..
But i recall that some people at MIT lab did some work on this ..
If you know anything about this subjet or a project let me know!

Never done that before, but you can try measuring the resistance of your skin as a first step. I saw some strange guy demonstrate that to me once. You'll have to wet the 2 ends of the multimeter first though.

Just curious - why do you want to use the body as apposed to say RF, seing that it is such a short distance ?

Microsoft has already Patented this idea

It sounds like bioelectricity.IF so,It's a doctor's subject .
