i want to control the audio signal which reach all time my eardrum

i want to design a chip which can be tagged to our hear to select the signals what ever i what to hear n to select the range of signals from which place they r coming....how?from where i should start

I built a midi board some years ago using a dsPIC33 which our media people have used.

if you are looking for a development board the Microchip microstick is good and cheap (about £16 in UK)

it has an onboard programmer and a header which can plug into a breadboard for your own circuits.
