Unless your Sony HIFi is an antique it most likely has a switching power supply and none of the multi-tap transformer considerations will apply.
Please post a good quality photo of the power section and we may be able to identify the power sections components and their likely configuration.
220V to 115V conversion utility transformers are generally easy to find. Get a modest sized one just in case you happen to acquire more 115V equipment.
