As i know, the latest version is 5.3, not 5.5. So if you need lic for 5.3,

What I need is a valid 'license.dat' file which includes a license for VSIM in Modelsim, that is the only problem I have with my current setup, the license.dat file I have doesn't support simulation.

Could you plz give a hand?
