I NEED A SIMPLE 4mA-20mA DIGITALLY VARIABLE CURRENT SOURCE
it should be digitally controlled...may be 12 bit is enough
 

4ma to 20ma why is using

Here is an example of 4-20mA tester based on PICAXE microcontroller:

It is 10-bit conversion and the code can be easily modified not to take control form a potentiometer but from the serial port ..

sorry cant use the picaxe....the methoud u suggest should be the cheapest....
