Hi, Friends,

I had embedded an UART IP in my design, and
I don't know what can I do with the UART?
I build some pattern to test the function of my design, but I had no idea about how to test the embedded IP, or I just ignore???
Can give me some advice? Thanks for help!!

How did you get the IP? By luck You also get a behavioral model then everything is easy. Or else you have to read the sepecification of UART and generate your own testbench for it.

as you have described the embedded UART IP
should be a IP core ,i think you can test it basing on your application.

1mode : raw ,line buffer
2baudrate : m@x and min speed
3operating routines :
4 a friendly user interface.
5 modem singals if you need it
etc
please give details about your Uart IP
