I downloaded the latest version of Firefox from their official website, but failed to install it.
The file i've downloaded is a *.tar.gz file, after extracting it, it's extracted to a folder named firefox containing the following files:
Code:
chrome libssl3.so
components libxpcom_compat.so
defaults libxpcom_core.so
extensions libxpcom.so
firefox libxpistub.so
firefox-bin mozilla-xremote-client
greprefs old-homepage-default.properties
icons plugins
libfreebl3.chk readme.txt
libfreebl3.so README.txt
libmozjs.so removed-files
libnspr4.so res
libnss3.so run-mozilla.sh
libnssckbi.so searchplugins
libplc4.so updater
libplds4.so updater.ini
libsmime3.so xpicleanup
libsoftokn3.chk

I tried to run the file: run-mozilla.sh but it gave me the following error:
"Cannot execute"
I tried to run the file: updater and firefox , but it gave me another error:
Code:
error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Ahmad,

1. Does your file run-mozilla.sh have execute authority? if not, use this command to change it.
chmod +x run-mozilla.sh

2.Maybe your libstdc++.so.5 have not installed or the lib version is not suitable. You can find the libstdc.so.5 on the net. this web may help you to find one.
