Hey guys

Just a quicky question..

What algorithms are the best to implement a hybrid echo.. for acoustic echo its adaptive filter algorithms, but anyone knows anything about the cancellation of hybrid echo?

Thanks

Guys any thoughts or suggestions?

Help!

Hi Girly_girl,

The same adaptive algorithms, for example Normailzed LMS (NLMS).
For hybrid echo (I assume you are speaking about near line echo) the impulse response is shorter than acoustic echo, then the filter length can be shorter and convergence is easier.
In the case of far line echo, the delay can be quite long and requires long lines and filter order.

Hello Zorro..
Thanks so much for ur reply..

So is NLMS the mostly used algorithm for Hybrid echo?
I am curently implementing RLS and NLMS for acustic echo...

DO any of them come in use?

Thanks

Hi Girly_girl

I don't know if NLMS is the most used algorithm. But it is a good compromise between complexity and performance and, as long as I know, it allows to achieve ITU-T reccomendations.
