hspice s-parameter

Hi everyone, I have question regarding HSPICE simulation using S2P parameter. Hope you can help.

Below is the S element syntax to be used in conjunction with the S2P touchstone file:

Sxxx nd1 nd2 ... ndN ndRef
+ <MNAME=Smodel_name> <FQMODEL=sp_model_name>
+ <TYPE=[s|y]> <Zo=[value|vector_value]>
+ <FBASE = base_frequency> <FMAX=maximum_frequency>
+ <PRECFAC=val> <DELAYHANDLE=[1|0|ON|OFF]>
+ <DELAYFREQ=val>
+ <INTERPOLATION=STEP|LINEAR|SPLINE>
+ <INTDATTYP =[RI|MA|DBA]> <HIGHPASS=value>
+ <LOWPASS=value> <MIXEDMODE=[0|1]>
+ <DATATYPE=data_string>
+ <NOISE=[1|0]> <DTEMP=val>

If I set the FMAX as the max frequency in my S2P file which is 6GHz, and I set HIGHPASS to 1, would the simulator still do high frequency points extrapolation?

Appreciate if you can help. Thanks.
