How we can save power consumption ?

There is a water dispenser in my family, when drink water ,we basically have been using it ,and in winter we should drink hot water, then heated switch open from day to night, so that power consumption? How can we save power consumption . . ? ? ?
 

Do you mean that I need tp close the switch, if you want to drink hot water then to open it?
 

I mean what type is that switch.

There is impulse relay, and this device use power just for changing state of contacts, unlike standard relay. With the same principe solenoid valve exist.
 

Switch is made for controling the power .Can you understand?
