how can we know the values of Capacitors & Resistors connected to Mt8870 decoder

Hi,
can anybody tell how many types of DTMF decoders ICs. how we can know the particular value of resister & capacitor must be connected to mt8870 ic. please explain in brief. how can we know the strength of the cell signal that is connected to mt8870 ic. please tell me whether the values of the capacitor & resistor which are connected to DTMF decoder depends on the cell signal or not.

Hi,

You do what everyone else has to do, first get the datasheet for the chip, that also gives you the manufacturers web site where you can find any additional application notes they may have produced; I found one straight away one their site, plus 2 pages of related articles.

If you are still stuck then search the web for any practical circuits that users have published.
