How to write loops in make files ?

Could someone please tell me how to write loops in make files. I am writting some make file for DRC and LVS. I am very begineer so can some one provide me with soem material how to write make files.

It isn't any language its just Make. Its kinda difficult to find out about make and its commands. It will just come by practice.
