How to write a single block code for MMC with 8052?

MMC with 8052

I have interfaced MMC(Multi-Media Card) with Philips 89v51rd2 which has SPI...
the MMC is getting initialised properly but when it come to block write...it does not give a proper response...

i would really appreaciate, if someone can suggest me how to "write single block code" ...

thanks in advance
