How to work solder/Desolder PLCC package chips

Pls tell me,

1.How to remove surface mounted PLCC package IC from PCB, without damaging the chip.
2.How to solder the same
Can I use a hot air blower? Will it damage the chip or sorroundings?

Pls help
 

Just search for your requirement on "youtube" where you'll find ample soldering and desoldering videos about smd components. Cheers
