I 've built a pcb for the NCP2824, the one at Figure 19, Single Ended Configuration, but I've not connected the control pin (pin C2 = CNTL) which should be connected with a microcontroler, because I thought I could use it without a microcontroler. But it seems that I can't, I think the microcontroler also 'wakes up' the ic.
What do you think, can I use it without a microcontroler?

Might help: schematic for the evaluation board.
Test Procedure for the NCP2824 Evaluation Board where it says "wake up test: J1 Must be connected to VDD". If I connect C2 pin at VDD it will 'wake up'?

At page 9 of the datasheet says:
After Wake up, the NCP2824 is configured with:
• AGC enable
• Non Clip + Power limit
• Gain = 18 dB
• THD max = 1%

I thought 'wake up' ment just supply power...what a pity...

(I 've made a mistake at the title, it's NCP2824)

I've never used the IC but I would guess you have to send it command 03 to bring it to life.

Brian.

I 'll have to give this command every time I power up the IC?
'Command 03' you mean reset?
