Hi
Does anyone know how to use simulavr or gdb-avr ???
thanks

As far as my memories allow me to remember :

1 : you run simulAVR (which behave like a local server)

2 : you run gdb avr and ask it to connect to the localhost TCP server... (from here : gdb interface simulAVR)

3 : load you application and enjoy

I did this manipulation few months ago and did not perform it again (because it's just a simulation and not a debugging... so I suppose you can do the same thing with AVRStudio)

bye
Manitooo :)

Re: simulavr gcc-avr

yes, I have tested avr-studio and is better tham simulavr, but I am using linux.

but if you have jtag ICE (or seek in this forum for JTAG ICE + AVR to build your own one), you will be able to use avr-gdb in debug-mode (via JTAG probe) instead of simulation mode...

bye
