Yeah, what YOGI said about WinAVR. Don't know why anyone needs a commercial development system when this workhorse is free. It's based on the GCC compiler, it's easy to use and is a powerhouse, loaded with options. Someone makes a free MAKE utility for those who need to create complicated projects (Which I always find a bit of an overkill for 64KByte and less devices). If it isn't user-friendly enough for you, take my advice, get out of the business, you're not cut out for it. I just wish there was a GCC version for the PIC also. By the way, there is an 805X version that handles the Atmel variant as well as those awesome (but expensive) Analog Devices 805X variants.
