How to use IrDA connect to 8051

I want to connect IrDA to 8051 because i will make project IrDA to PC.
Please tell me about concept.
 

You can use the 14 pin IC MAX3100.

Yes! I try make from Max3100 with 8051 it code use IRQ on Max3100 but hardware it not use. Software or Hardware is wrong?
 

I use Microchips MCP2120 or MCP2150
Vishay/telefunken/ TFDS4500-TR3
Atmel AT89C51

Works great :)
