how to use avr

can we use AVR microcontrollers interfaced to home PC's or do we require AVR processors itself......?,reply pls....

There are many ways? Do you know any one of them.
 

thank u for u r response,i am still searching the ways of interfacing,can u please tell me few ways.
 

The easiest way is by serial port rs232C.

Also is possible to emulate USB on AVR side, also you ca use ethernet, RF way,...
