For Nanosim, you can check the useguide how it works.

If you are using the synopsys tools you already have your answer. If you are using the cadence, they have solution using the powermeter. If you are using the sequence they are having the power theater soln. Let us know which tool you will be using in the flow.. some of us can answer you.
