How to upgrade GCC 2.96 to GCC 3.0 on RedHat 7.2?

Hi,

I have GCC 2.96 in Red hat linux 7.2 , Now i want to upgrade to GCC 3.0. How can i do it?

Download gcc-3.0 source and binutils. Than you need to bootstrap gcc build. All this is explained elsewhere. Pay attention not to install gcc-3.0 over your gcc 2.96.
