Hi
i am new to this FPGA world.I am doing a project in which i have to switch off any single core of LEON3 (quad core) just to check some algo. I have ported LEON3 on Xilinx Spartan 6.now i just want to perform core switching. Somebody please help me

Well shutting down the clock to the core comes to mind as one way to do that. Using a BUFGMUX to switch to a non-existent clock (not sure if that signal will require some toggles to switch back).

Not knowing much about the LEON3 I can't say if there is some inherent design feature that supports shutting a core down.

Regards
