I am using teraterm hyperterminal. How do I send just hex codes. I don't wanna send ascii.

i don't know teraterm but with Vbray terminal
to send specific code as CR ou LF you can use direct decimal value or hexadecimal value by adding special caractere in front of value to transmit
like
#013 for CR (carriage Return) or $0D
#010 for LF (Line Feed) or $0A

Great. I can just switch from Ascii to hex in Vbray terminal.

But how is it done generally in windows hyperterminal or tera term ?

Paul, how do I enable local echo in Vbray terminal?

i didn't find out this functionality..seems NO ECHO possible.
i use feed back in my applications to do echo...
or if you are using TX only , strap pin 2 and pin 3 on DB9 connector

That's ok.
Any idea how to send decimal numbers. Should I use #128?
For hex it's $80. This worked. But the decimal did not work.

when i test to send #128 ( i strap 2 and 3 pins of DB9) i get symbole "€"
#199 -> "ç" in upper case,
#203 -> E in uppercase with a trema on top.
i use font Comics sans serif and 8 bits ,1 stop No parity
do you use 8 or 7 bits ?
