plz can anyone tell me can we transfer data from one server to another server using SIM300....
if it cannot be done then tell me how can we transfer data?

GPRS is 110kbits/s. So good luck transfering data.
Maybe with a simple ethernet cable ?

yes its possible from one server to another server using gsm.but if the data size is learge then UMTS is better option.bcoz it can provide upto 21mbps or higher bandwidth.
first thing you have to make ip base tunnel from your source to destination.

kk.can u plz tell me how to make ip base tunnel?

first you tell me wichi device you are using for sending data.if you useing any router with gsm modem moule then you need some config.I can send you the config if you r using cisco devices.else you can do the same thing using some third party software.

actually...my project is to transfer data from one server to other using GSM modem...and this is my first project..so plz can u tell me the simplest way...
can i use sim300 or not....
nd u can send me the config....i'll discuss with my seniors....

first thing u confrm that sim 300 support EDGE or not.I dont have any idea about this sim300.we r using diffrent type gsm modem.I think u using usb stick for internet. It,s also a gsm modem.
i will send you the config but its not working without CISCO devices.I thing you must keep in your mind that you have to go for ip base solution.
jst tell me wich type of data you want to send.like music, vedio or text .

i m working in a power plant industry..and we transfer data from PLC to normal PC using SCADA software..nd now we have to transfer that data frm one server to other..it will be in text form...

OK Sneha.I got your point. The simplest way to transfar data throug GSM better you buy 2 nos of usb gsm modem.cost arount 3k.now enable two gsm sim for edge or UMTS (normaly known as 3G).now you can send every type of data every corner of world.I am also worked a power plant (JINDAL POWER).So there we use local lan for sending data.
