How to test a pulse transformer which is used in the VFDs (inverters) ?

don't you think that the pulse transformer is also the part of the trigger generator ?
No it not a part of triggering generator but an interface between thyristor and the Generator, as if the Pulse transformer is not there even then the generator will keep on generating the pulses.
 

The pulse driver in post #20 has the transformer wired for flyback operation, triggering the thyristor on transistor switch-off. That's neither usual nor reasonable, I think.
