How to store LVDT indicator readings on my PC

I recently purchased LVDT+transducer with a separate indicator. I also have the RS2 cable to connect to PC. Buy how do I store the data readings on my PC? I would be very grateful if somebody could help me on this since I am a civil engineer without a clue. Thanks!
 

you must have to use DSP or micro controller to interface with the pc
