I just start to look for information on delta-sigma adc, but I found there are quite few books talking about this topic.

Anybody has any suggestion on good books/articles/papers to look at? I need basic knowledge first.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi.
There are two very popular theses which both of them have been published as books by Kluwer and you can download both of them from EDAboard :

1- Delta-Sigma Data Converters: Theory, Design, and Simulation
Steven R. Norsworthy (Editor), Gabor C. Temes (Editor), Richard Schreier (Editor)

2- Design of Low-Voltage Low-Power CMOS Delta Sigma A/D Converters
Vincenzo Peluso, Michiel Steyaert, Willy M.C. Sansen

Beside these two books, there are some general books about data converters like "Analog Integrated Circuit Design" -> Chapter 14 by D. Johns and K. Martin.

Good luck!

Thanks ezt.

i'd also like to know is there any other books/papers/articles more suitable for beginner to read?

There are so many posts about this topic, search it before ask please!

I think the DSP, Matlab, and signal and system are also the basic knowledage for delta-sigma ADC.

There are many frequency folding issues, frequency transformation, and digital to analog translation.
