mpdboot ubuntu

Hi all,

I'm trying to use a software that can use MPICH2 for parallel computation. For trying if it works, I've installed vmware and two Ubuntu Linux machines on vmware. Then by following the steps in this link:

**broken link removed**

I installed mpich2.

Hostnames of the machines are: "b4" and "bias-2" and their IP addresses are: "192.168.247.133" and "192.168.247.137", respectively.

In each of the machines, I've created a file named .mpd.conf with the same secretword. Now, I'm trying to use "mpdboot" command to start mpd on the two machines. I've created a file named mpd.hosts as

"b4
bias-2"
on the first machine and invoke:

"mpdboot -n 2"

Then it gives the error:

"mpdboot_b4 (handle_mpd_output 338): from mpd on bias-4, invalid host: invalid port info:"

And when I run "mpdcheck", it says:

"b4"

What am I missing? How can I start mpd in all machines?

Note: The machines can ping each other.

Regards
