I am working a Robot in which i need to interface a wifi module to a PIC16f877A . I am using a GPS module on-board the data produced by the module has to be transferred to the PC else where so i chose wifi communication network for the purpose. Hence i would like to know what should i exactly do now
Venus GPS with SMA Connector - SparkFun Electronics

this is where i bought the gps module Venus GPS with SMA Connector (GPS-10921)

im using a PIC controller (16F877A) and i m yet to buy a wifi module but im thinking of getting this one

I think you should use bluetooth modules, they are better for single point to point communication
they are simple to use, like a rs232 link. searchfor bluetooth serial modules, cheaper than wifi modules

wifi is used for network links, implying more than two devices, and you need a tcpip stack which is quite short
for a 16f pic device. pic 18 is generally required. a small tcpip stack consumes 8kb memory ...
