How to send message to a phone from a database using VB

Hi,
i want to send message to a phone from the databse by using VB. as far as i searched through i get codes to do it using outlook. is there any other way to do it. if there please help me to get a start and can anyone explain me the process involved in using outlook.

Hi,
are u trying to send sms with gsm modem via pc. Sure, you can do with the help of at commands.
