how to send data between two nics using 8051 IC

i want to send data from one nic to the other on the same computer using the 8051 ic. actually i don't know much about hardware so what stuff should i study.

Sorry, i don't know exactly what you mean: you've got one PC and there are 2 nics installed ? you can connect the two nics by using a crossover; but what does the 8051 do? Tell us a little bit more ....
