how to send and receive sms from pc using USB port

hii, i want to write a C or C++ program to send and receive sms from pc. for that im going to connect GSM modem or mobile phone to PC USB port.. is that posible to do that with USB port? if so how to do it? i heard using AT command can do it with serial port..

Hai

Your mobile phone should have a usb datacable to connect it to the PC. You can use the software provided by the mobile phone manufacturer to send and receive sms.

If you are using a gsm modem use a usb to serial converter to connect it to the PC

Besides mobile phones you can use GSM modem. You may look at this **broken link removed**.
 

if you know the class of the USB device (the cell phone) then you can know how to communicate with. unless it is custom class designed by the vendor and dedicated to his own cell phones unless the vendor offer a way of communication with their cell phones in this case.
