.cdl file lvs

Hi Guys,

Can anybody tell me that how to write the command in LVS rule file for relating the devices of CDL and Layout, for example, if I define an element BJT[VN] in the rule, and I want to relate it with the a vertical NPN in CDL which model name is VNPN1, then how to write for these.

Thanks a lot

Regards
Jay

calibre lvs n3

I am not know clearly what you mean.
But if you use calibre, just modifing the "Form Device" section of the command file can do.
Or your modifing the model name VNPN1 of the CDL to VN also can do.

I use dracula in Candence, then how do to it.

Thanks a lot

here is an example
if you have PM NM as PMOS or NMOS in CDL output file
and P3, N3 in LVS rule file
then just include following line on top of CDL file

*.EQUIV PM=P3 NM=N3

so in your case

*.EQUIV VN=VNPN1
