How to read the Hex File of a PIC Micro

Hi,
I wish to read the Hex file from a no. of PIC 16C63 devices.
I have a PICSTART Plus programmer.
How should i go about doing it.
Will i be able to use the PICSTART Plus with MPLAB v6.51

PIC Start works with MPLAB 6.51, but you can read this device only if it isn't protected.

You should use MPLAB(freely downloadable from www.microchip.com) with pic start programmer. But if the devices have been code protected then it is not possible to read them.
