Hello.
If debris gets inside an electricity generator, a broken screw or something falls on one of the windings/wiring, creating arcing or a short circuit, spreads and destroys it.
I do not see how any fuse can do something to protect it. How is it done; can it be protected ?

Wire mesh to keep screws out ?

When someone finds an electronic circuit to prevent external mechanical destruction i want one immediately for my car! (other than immobiliser..i've had someone crash into it while being parked as well!) :)
