how to programatmel AT89C52 microcontroller?

hi!! i m doing a project for the first time using microcontroller.but i dont know how to program my atmel AT89C52 microcontroller.I hav been told to buy a programming kit for the same, but i cant afford that much. isnt dere any other way to program it??

Welcome to the world of microcontrollers. It is better to use AT89S52 which is same as AT89C52. AT89S52 has serial programming facility.

Here is a famous DIY programmer for AT89Sxx programmer

May i ask..."how much" you cant afford ? Coz there may be programmers below your expectations and memebrs can suggest you better circuits or products. There is no other way to program a 89 series microcontroller without a programmer. Cheers
