Hello everyone!!!

I have a design with a top cell and other 3 instanciated blocks. My design is now fully floorplanned and I'm trying to place the cells, but when I do so only the ones that don't belong to the hierarchy blocks are placed. How can I get the placement tool to also put the cells that belong to the instances inside of them?? If I try to open each instance separetly and run the placement tool I get an error message saying that there's no floorplan in that cell!!!

I'm using ASTRO as the placement and routing tool.

thanks for your help,

diemilio

Re: How to place cells

try axgFastPlace, but it would just place all cells into core......without seeing timings......
