If you want to add two contineous voltage waves, you can use opamp and resistor to convert them into currents first, then mirror both current signals to a sensing resistor, thus the voltage across the sensing resistor is the summed voltage. The drawback of this method is the large power consumption. If you only need to obtain the sum of two static voltage values (e.g. the sampled voltage in an ADC), you can use switched capacitor circuits.
