How to overlay a video on another?

Hi there,

I would like to merge two video signals in one picture.I actually try to show a logo on screen when i watch a film on dvd.So i would like to overlay a small picture over another video.But how?

That's quite complicated, which standard do you want PIP for? NTSC, PAL or SECAM?
I can find some IC's used for PAL PIP if you want.

I'm totally interest at osd chip but i'm not sure if i can find stv5730A chip in my country.Which company produces this chip?
I found STM but i can not access their site.By the way i'm interest at maxim video ic's.
But in this topic, they say this ic is not easy going :

Never used it, so do not know.
