measure true rms

how can measure true rms of ac signal that its frequency is between 600k to 2Mhz and its amplitude is between 2 to 20 volt.

Re: measure true rms

Hi,

First I think you have to divide your input range by 20 to bring it down to 0.1 to 1V.
Now you could use a true RMS to DC conversion IC from Analog Devices like AD8362, see link: **broken link removed**

Of course there are such ICs from other manufacturers too, if you google for them.

PS: I found an interesting circuit for you in Electronic Design magazine, see this link:

Re: measure true rms

hi
Analog Divece ® have a special 8pin Ic for this purpose.
And for fully sine wave you can calculate this by two samples.

V1=Vm sin(t1)
V2=Vm sin(t1+90)
Vm²=V1²+V2²
Vrms=√½ Vm
