we use the 6GHz oscilloscope to measure the jitter.
however, the result always change in a big range. and the value is too small to be believed.

how to measure the accurate jitter of pll?
thank!

trust the instruments,
maybe u have a very good pll.

u had better to check the setting of ur measurement.
1. The triggered waveform (zero delay) will show u very low jitter result. Because
the scope will track what you want "him" to measure !
2. You should check a delay version of triggered waveform. e.g. delay 1us or 10us
for (long term cycle-cycle jitter), delay 5 ~ 10 clocks for short term jitter.
