Can we measure the signal Frequency received by the Chip Antenna Using Spectrum Analyzer???
Please suggest, How to measure signal frequency and power of the signal received by the Chip antenna..??

chip antenna will be used for WLAN Module.

Re: Chip Antenna Testing

You can measure the chip antenna using a Signal Generator, a Spectrum Analyzer, and a reference antenna.
In an antenna chamber, connect the signal generator to a directive antenna, and the spectrum analyzer to a 2.4GHz dipole antenna, and record the levels. Substitute the dipole antenna with DUT Chip Antenna, and find its gain in dBd.
You can rotate the chip antenna each 15° and find the antenna pattern.
Do the measurements for multiple frequencies (or at least 3, low, mid and high).

Re: Chip Antenna Testing

can v measure the signal directly by using Spectrum analyzer only??

Yes you can, but depends what signal level you get at the SA input. The level should be high enough to be displayed by the analyzer.
Have to take care about RBW of the SA for accurate measurement.
