solid state relay

How can we make a simple and reliable solid state relay which can work at 48VDC and 220VAC with a current rating of 1A

solid state relay

If you want to use DC voltage with TRIACs.

I suggest you to research for forced commutation.

This circuit allows you to turn off your TRIAC anytime.

Re: solid state relay

Try using optocoupler with the triac its easy.

Re: solid state relay

No..isn´t that easy!!!

Problem with mixing DC and AC is that all (i know of) DC SSR are MOSFET absed and all AC are SCR based...

The only one manufacturer I am aware of is Teledyne:

Maybe you want to use a bridge-rectifier in series to the load and inside a normal high-volatge MOS/Bipolar transistor?

Re: solid state relay

Hello

Go for MOC3062, it has built in zero-crossing, and can directly drive a triac.
