how to make a conection between microcontroller and any Set top Box

help with this i need full info about how to comunicate some info from microcontroller to STB
 

Normally STB's will have a single Media processor (an SOC) with many GPIOs and standard interfaces. You really need to open up the STB and see what media processor is being used there., understand the available interfaces and then think of connecting that to Microcontroller. But IMHO, this will not work, because the media processor will not be transparent to external interface access...
