How to look for smd bidirectional/antiparallel smd led in farnell?

Hi all

Basic question:
I would like to get a bicolor smd led (green/red) but i would like it to have just two pins, as i need it to check polarity thus i do not need to turn both leds at once.

Is there a more specific name to look for it in farnell as i can only find 3 or 4 pins versions that complicate assembly?

Use a led with 4 pin.Short the opposit pins(one's anode with others cathode). Then you will have only 2 pins to connect and by applying voltage with different polarity you will be able to select any one led to turn on.(not both of them with the same time).

Go to https://uk.farnell.com/leds-standard-multicolor-under-75ma and select the colour combination you want and select 2 pins. That should narrow it down. Add the case size to reduce it further. Sort by cost if you still have too many to choose from.
