how to latch the data bus in 2X clock domain to X clock ?

Hi all,

Can any one tell me how to latch the data bus in 2X clock domain to X clock domain?
I am thinking of fifo. Is there any better option ?

is it for datapath or control path, if data path, then fifo, if control use clock enable
