How to know what resistors to use for implementing AWP24s

AWP24s resistors?

Hi. Im working with implementing the AWP24s into my enbedded curcuit.. . .

But can anyone help me out with why 5,6k resistors are used for all the wires connected to the AWP24s?

I dont know if i need them, or how to find out what size i need?
