Hi guys,

Got a question:

How do I interface the MCU to the RAM and ROM?

My guess is that I got to connect the data lines together by a bus line. What about the address line?

Maybe someone can post a picture how's its done. Thanks

Re: MCU Interfacing

first tell what is your MCU?
PIC or 8051 or...?

without knowing the MCU it cannot be guessed.

Re: MCU Interfacing

This is school homework and you should do work alone. Someone "helping" you will ruin chance for you to learn something. Open your textbooks and read, you will find answer there. This homework is to gauge how well you understand data transfer between CPU and memory.

Re: MCU Interfacing

You can treat it as a random MCU with all these addressing lines and data lines.

I would like to know what should be the connections like, in general.

MCU Interfacing

be specific, what exactly do you want to interface
