Hi,
I need to interface sim908 IC along with sim socket to 8051. sim908 IC meant only IC, no surrounded required circuitry along with chip that sometimes require in other modems. This "extra circuitry" required in this sim908's case?
Can I connect 8051 directly to SIM908's TX and RX with RS232 in between or any more circuitary required also in between?
Plus how can I connect sim908 with sim socket ? Which sim908's pins are need to be connected with socket.
Please suggest also only IC is enough to interface with 8051 or need full sim908 module board is required?
